Yes! Ten27 Church is a church plant that will give you experience in worship, production, kids ministry, preaching, teaching, hospitality, local outreach, planning events, and so much more. If you are passionate about any of these specific areas, we will be happy to give you extra opportunities to grow and be discipled in that specific area of ministry.

Your day to day will be focused on growing in multiple different areas such as Spiritual Growth, Leadership Development, Ministry Competency, Community Engagement, and Team & Collaboration. Each day might look different from the other whether it be a focus on teaching and discipleship, local outreach, or just simply meeting needs in the church as they come.

Housing is provided through the support you raise and will be covered for the duration of the program. Ten27 Church ensures that all residents are placed in safe, comfortable housing. More specific details and housing assignments will be shared as your start date approaches.

Yes. A reliable form of personal transportation is required for this program. Each participant must have access to their own vehicle to ensure they can travel to ministry sites, church events, and community activities throughout the program.

The total cost for the Summer Internship is $3,000, and the Semester Internship is $3,500. We encourage participants to raise support for these amounts, and Ten27 will provide you with the tools, training, and platform needed to make fundraising simple and successful.

Your total cost covers all expenses including housing, meals, utilities, and ministry materials. This amount also supports leadership training, local outreach, and program costs.

Ten27 partners with Reliant Missions, a trusted sending organization that manages ministry staff and interns nationwide. Reliant provides fundraising tools, payroll management, and tax compliance — making it simple for interns to focus on ministry. 

Students who are: 

• Followers of Jesus eager to grow in faith and leadership 

• Passionate about worship, teaching, or church ministry 

• Adaptable, teachable, and ready to serve 

• Excited to live in community and invest in the local church 

This depends on which program you’re participating in. The Semester Internship offers more flexibility due to its longer duration, while the Summer Internship is a focused 10-week commitment that requires full participation for the best experience. We do understand that unexpected family emergencies may arise and will make exceptions in those cases as needed.

We ask that you approach this internship with the same commitment as a full-time job. A standard 40-hour work week is expected to ensure you get the most out of your hands-on ministry experience and personal development.

Semester-long internships are offered twice a year — from January to May and from August to December.

Summer Internships are held late May to late July.

Yes! While paid staff positions are not currently available, as all of our team members are support-raised, there are opportunities to continue serving through a residency or by living in Charleston and being part of the church on a regular basis. We love helping leaders stay connected and continue growing in their calling beyond the internship season.
